I think the Klitschko’s are up there either of them– although Vitali has lost some power in his older age he still is powerful via accumulation of punches. He has the highest KO% of all time and is the current WBC champion.

In modern day boxing, no doubt I would have to go with Mike Tyson... For "back in the day" I am going to give my vote to Cassius Clay, as evidenced in the Ali versus Liston fights of 1964 and 1965. I would have to say that all things being equal, Tyson would dominate Muhammad Ali in a bout.

I don’t remember Liston or Louis (though Ive seen highlights) but for my money it’s definitely between Tyson and Foreman. People always remember the happy Foreman you see on TV but he was a monster back then. Tyson was just nuts but he sure was powerful.

Tyson threw a punch where he went from a squat position almost touching the ground to a huge follow through. Imagine the power and force that punch would generate using all the larget muscles in the body. I tend to agree he was the hardest hitter in history (particularly if you take into consideration modern training methods)but I will remember him as the only boxer to win fights before they even started.
